It is my great pleasure
to announce that Charles Donner, recently retired Assistant Director of
the National Labor Relations Board for Region 3 will be honored as the
2008 Labor & Employment Relations Association of Western New York’s
Citizen of the Year at our meeting on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the
Hearthstone Manor. Mr. Donner recently retired following a 36 year
distinguished career with the NLRB’s Buffalo office, serving as Assistant
Regional Director for the past 12 years. Charlie has been a member of the
Western New York Chapter for 25 years and has served on the Executive
Board for 20 years. Mr. Donner also served as our Chapter President during
2006-2007.
Additionally, that
evening we will present two students pursuing degrees in the fields of
Industrial and Labor Relations with the scholarships from the Western New
York Chapter.
