We are please to announce that James N. Schmit will be honored as our
Citizen of the Year on Wednesday evening, May 12, 2004. As you know, Jim
is the chair of Damon & Morey's labor and employment law practice group.
He was President of the IRRA for WNY from 1999-2000. During his more than
30 years of experience in the labor relations area, Jim has represented
employers in just about every aspect of the field. His specific litigation
experience includes actions to enjoin strikes, proceedings to compel or
stay arbitration, and the defense of employment discrimination, wrongful
termination and unfair representation cases. Please join us in honoring
Jim with this well-deserved award.
